Making A Difference

Water Protection.jpg

Lake Protection

Our Association works to keep Lake Marion free of aquatic invasive species. "Invasive species are species that are not native to Minnesota and cause economic or environmental harm or harm to human health." (MN, DNR 2018). Through education, prevention and intervention if necessary, the Lake Marion Assocation works to keep our lake healthy for all.

Trail Development

The Association's slogan is "Striving for the betterment of the Lake Marion community." Another way in which we work to be of service is by actively promoting parkland and trail development around Lake Marion. These trails systems provide a safe, convenient, and beautiful way for members of the community to stay active and enjoy the beauty of our lake, on and off the water.

Community Clean Up

Lake Marion Association organizes periodic community clean up efforts to keep our parks litter and debris free. This is a simple, but impactful way we strive to be good stewards of the community spaces within Lakeville.

Buoy Placement

Buoys are important in keeping Lake Marion safe for boaters, swimmers, and those enjoying the lake on non-motorized watercraft. The Lake Marion Association ensures that buoys are placed at appropriate intervals around the lake, encouraging safety and responsibility on and in the water.
